The Maryland Institute of Development (MID) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing traditional Islamic education and providing essential services to the community.
We strive to provide accessible learning opportunities for working professionals, students, and families by offering weekend and evening classes. We believe that by attaining knowledge and focusing on self-improvement, we can positively impact the world around us. By aligning our efforts with Islamic values, we aim to nurture individuals who contribute to the betterment of society in accordance with our faith.
At the Maryland Institute of Development, our goal is to create a community centered around education and spiritual development. Our educational classes offer a wide range of subject material for various age groups. Our services aim to provide a support structure for the community at large, offering marriage, family, religious, and mental health counseling, as well as charity work.
Inspired by the Quranic verse, we strive to empower individuals to take active steps towards their own intellectual, spiritual, and social development. We believe that by fostering knowledge, spiritual growth, and community support, we can help individuals and the community as a whole to achieve positive and meaningful change.
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوْا۟ مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ
“Surely, Allah does not change the condition of a people unless they change themselves”
Surah 13, Verse 11We believe in the power of knowledge to transform individuals and communities. Our commitment to traditional Islamic education forms the foundation of our institute.
We strive to build a strong, supportive community that fosters growth, understanding, and mutual respect among all members.
We encourage continuous self-improvement and spiritual growth, empowering individuals to make positive changes in their lives and the world around them.
